and I hope as well as helping mistreated women, that this will also help promote the stop such traditional practices from even happening in the future.
This is a good cause, and I noticed they referred to circumcision as "barbaric" and "mutilation", which reminded me the "barbaric" practice of forcibly, without the owner's consent, and without medical necessity, that the removal of ANYONE's genital parts is "mutilation", and needs to be addressed worldwide.
I noticed that they could very easily change the gender of the testimonials and narration to apply to either sex, although having to change words like "clitoris" for "foreskin", and "Africa" for "America".
Ironically the percentages to the level of practice done to girls in African countries that they cite just happen to be similar to percentages done to boys in various American states.
I do feel it is excellent that an operation has been developed to restore the damage done to girls, just as I feel it is excellent that there is also a procedure to restore the damage done to boys, but it dismays me that a large number of citizens in the respective countries still think it's good to perform these crimes against children in the first place.
Please don't forget just like many Africans need to be educated, many Americans also need to be educated that mutilation of a child is wrong, no matter which sex!
